About this collection
Choosing a dog repeller
A handheld dog repeller is for when you are on the move: walking, running, cycling or delivering. You point it at an approaching dog and press the button; the sound signal makes the dog stop and gives you distance. A plug-in unit protects a fixed spot such as a doorway, balcony or garage entrance.
- SONIK TP-10: handheld, one button, runs on a 9V battery (included). Effective at 5–7 m, up to a 10 m stated maximum.
- MAXON TP-20: handheld and rechargeable, with an LED light for early mornings and evenings. Effective up to 15 m.
- TP-150: plugs into a socket and runs continuously at a doorway, balcony or garage entrance; covers up to 150 m² towards the target area.
What to expect
These devices do not harm the dog; they interrupt its approach. The response depends on the dog, the distance and the battery level, and some dogs (deaf dogs, for example) may not react. A repeller is not a guarantee of protection: stay calm, keep still and do not run.
