An open villa floor
A large living area, an open kitchen, a basement or a closed garage. Put TP-400 at the most open point of the floor, and think of the walled rooms upstairs separately.
A workshop or production room
Open floor between benches, high ceiling. The device sits where it can see the working area, and adds no sound you will notice in an already noisy room.
A storage hall or archive
Full shelving absorbs the signal. Point TP-400 down an aisle rather than into a rack, and keep the stacking tidy.
THE BODY

TP-400 shares its body with TP-1000: 30 × 11 × 21 cm, 2,350 grams, powder-coated DKP steel. It is the first metal-bodied model in the range; TP-70, TP-100 and TP-200 are ABS. The weight is not for show — it is what keeps the device where you put it, and keeps it there for years in a dusty, damp store room.
If it looks too serious for a home, that is the point: TP-400 is the factory body brought down to the scale of a house or a small business.
OUTPUT ARCHITECTURE
Twelve Outputs. One Volume.
TP-400 has twelve separate output channels, in a body designed to a 180° angle. TP-200 has five, TP-100 has four. Twelve channels aim to reach the same volume from more directions. No number of channels reaches past a wall.
The device does not hold one fixed tone; it works across a shifting 25–40 kHz range.
600 m² Does Not Mean the Whole Building.
The area figure on this page is for a single open volume: an undivided storage hall, an open floor, a workshop with a high ceiling. A 600 m² villa divided by walls is not one 600 m² volume; it is several separate ones. Ultrasound does not pass through solid walls or closed doors.
Judge your space by how many separate open volumes it has, not by its floor area. If you are not sure, ask us before you buy.
Coverage Depends on the Animal.
The 600–1,000 m² figure on this page is for mice, rats and bats. It is a maximum for one open volume, and placement and obstacles reduce reach.

Decide which open volume the device will work in and roughly how large it is. Count walled-off sections separately.
Sort Out Food and Entry Points
Keep food and feed sealed, empty waste regularly, close the gaps you can reach.
Place the Device
Follow the manual. Put it on a flat surface with clear space in front, facing an aisle rather than into a rack.
Run It and Watch

TP-400 is designed to stay on. It asks two things of you: that stacking never closes off the space in front of it, and that you check its position now and then. It is covered by a three-year warranty and comes with a thirty-day no-questions trial.

It depends on the model and the animal. Do not use it in rooms with pet rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits or pet mice. For other species follow the guidance in the manual. If your animal shows restlessness or a change in behaviour, stop, increase the distance and speak to your vet.

We cannot give an exact time. It depends on the animal, the level of activity already there, access to food and shelter, the shape of the volume and where the device sits. Note the signs before you set it up, then check the same places each time.
