Choosing a device
In most homes, yes, when it's placed right. The sound doesn't kill anything; it makes the space uncomfortable for them. Mice nesting indoors usually leave within 2–4 weeks. Sound doesn't pass through walls, closed doors or furniture. If it doesn't work for you, return it within 30 days; we pay the return shipping.

Using it
Right: front clear
Wrong: front blocked
Plug it into an outlet in the middle of the area, 20–80 cm off the floor, with its front clear. A sofa or cabinet in front of it blocks the sound. It works best where it can see the whole space; with a door open, the sound finds its way into the next room.
Keep it plugged in
Yes. It works only while it is plugged in. Unplugging it stops the sound. It uses about as much energy as a small night light. Running it 24/7 won't show on your bill.

The device starts working the moment you plug it in. Animals nesting indoors usually leave within 2–4 weeks, depending on nesting and breeding cycles. Keep it plugged in: it only works while it's on.
When a dog comes close, point the device at it and press in short bursts. The TP-20 is rechargeable, has an LED torch and works up to 15 m; the TP-10 is the lighter option. Response varies by dog; deaf dogs may not hear it.
The TP-150 is for entrances: an unobstructed, rain-sheltered spot, a covered balcony or a garage entrance. For the garden there is the solar-powered TAREX TP-1500. The TP-200, TP-100 and TP-70 are indoor devices.

No. There's no poison, chemicals or odor. Human hearing tops out around 20 kHz; the devices work above that, and most people hear nothing. Don't use it in a room with pet rodents such as hamsters, rabbits or guinea pigs, and don't aim it at where your cat or dog sleeps.
